We are excited to introduce the newest member of the Blue Mobius Marketing Team, Amanda Reinartsen! She is joining us as an Account Manager and Marketing Specialist.
Amanda is originally from New Jersey, but has lived in the New River Valley for the last 20 years. She went to Christiansburg High School, where she spent most of her time performing on stage. She participated in over 10 productions during her four years there. She was also a member of the National Honor Society, an organization that recognizes outstanding high school students. After high school, she went on to study business administration at New River Community College for two years before transferring to Radford University, where she majored in marketing.
Want to know something crazy? There was a time when Amanda was not sure if she would even go to college. The idea seemed scary and she was terrified of failing; but, with hard work, determination (and coffee) she graduated college and achieved things she never thought possible. She tackled exams, projects and presentations by doing two things: showing up and staying organized. Amanda missed a total of two classes throughout her entire three and a half years in college. She was able to stay organized by keeping a planner (yep, she’s oldschool) and being an avid list maker. These two things helped Amanda succeed in college, along with her ability to effectively communicate with team members and prioritize assignments.
During her last semester, Amanda was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, an honors society in which only the top 10 percent of seniors are invited to join. It is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in a baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate program in business.
On December 17, 2016 (otherwise known as the happiest day of her life) Amanda graduated with honors. She also received the Outstanding Marketing Graduate award for the winter class of 2016. This award is given to marketing students who exhibit outstanding leadership and GPA. Amanda is not only brilliant and confident but also humble, If you told her she would accomplish these things in college four years ago, she wouldn’t believe you. Amanda is proof that good ol’ fashioned hard work, dedication, and drive can make anything possible.
Looking back, Amanda is so happy she made the decision to attend college, where she developed confidence, a strong work ethic, and a love of marketing. We are sure these things will make her a great addition to our team.
When Amanda isn’t busy working with our clients, scheduling social media posts, and coming up with awesome marketing ideas she enjoys channeling her creativity through makeup, fashion and scrapbooking. She also loves watching movies–The Devil Wears Prada being her all-time favorite. She also places a big focus on family, friends, and her sweet pup named Jasmine (who she adopted from a local animal shelter).
All in all, Amanda is an amazing marketing professional and an amazing person–the perfect addition to our team. Join us in giving her a warm welcome!
