He’s a creative content manager by day and a chicken farmer by night. Meet, Jonathan!
Early in life, Jonathan attempted to pursue a career trajectory that “made sense”, and fell in line with what other people told him would be a wise career move. Time and time again, he tried to convince himself he should be a chemist or scientist. However, he kept coming back to writing. Jonathan shared, “Thanks to supportive parents who didn’t balk at their son getting an English degree, I’ve been able to follow what I’m good at and write–for a living now.”
Jonathan is a talented technical writer with a degree from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) He combines his technical abilities with a flair for creativity– a winning combination. He works with our clients to capture their brand in a way that allows readers to truly engage with the content in an authentic and meaningful way.
Whether it’s storytelling, conveying complex technical information, or helping brands and people make their aspirations a reality, it’s something Jonathan loves to do. When reflecting on his preferred writing style, he said, “I value brevity and clear writing. Unfortunately, that’s the hardest way to write. It’s easy to be flowery and emotional; it’s another thing entirely to drive a point and deliver just what the reader needs to hear.”
Jonathan’s creative gifts and talents don’t stop with writing though–he is also talented with a camera.
Since Jonathan joined our team, our clients have benefitted tremendously from his training and talent with photography. He has created beautiful images for our diverse client base to include meaningful headshots and product photography. Jonathan said:
“It’s amazing to be part of a small team that gets to work with so many different clients and industries. I really feel like all my talents are being used–writing, web design, photography, project management. That’s huge. The diversity makes coming to work fun.
I love grinding away at projects and the “real” work stuff. It’s a great day when I feel like I’ve helped multiple projects move forward with creative work. I also like working on the business development side. It’s stressful, but the prospect of new clients to meet and new work to do is really fun.”
When Jonathan isn’t busy writing for our clients, executing a photo shoot, or collaborating with our team, he can often be found hiking, biking, and caving. Jonathan said, “I love to go out and and explore all this area has to offer.” He also has quite a few animals. Between his pets and his girlfriend’s pets–they have a dozen hens, a dog named Arwen, and a cat named Cheeto.
We’re glad Jonathan followed his calling that ultimately lead him to join the Blue Mobius team. We are thankful for the energy, enthusiasm, and tremendous amount of talent he contributes to our team each and every day!
